METHOD #2: WILLPOWER
Sounds Good, But Don't Depend on It

Other people skip motivation, and try to be “self-motivated” instead.

In other words, they use their “willpower.” And willpower has a sketchy success rate at best.

In fact, some studies suggest that willpower actually doesn't exist. But even if it does, you can probably attest that willpower isn't nearly enough to achieve your goals.

Why doesn't willpower work? Simple – because resorting to willpower means you're basically fighting against yourself.

On one side, you're trying to achieve something you normally don't (or can't)... but on the other side, your ingrained HABITS hold you back every step of the way.

In other words, your conscious mind (the part of you that makes your plans) comes into conflict with your UNCONSCIOUS mind (the part of you that houses your habits).

And when you're in conflict, you achieve nothing. That's how it works.

Bottom line: Yes, having a little willpower will definitely be helpful along the way. But relying on it alone will be a costly mistake, especially when you're embarking on something big, like starting a business or raising a family.
